Xu Mu, a planner at Shangxin Advertising Company, has just failed her sixth blind date. In her view, finding a partner isn’t like shopping; just considering conditions is too materialistic. Despite her parents’ pressure to get married, she is still neither humble nor arrogant. Although her love life has had setbacks, her career has been quite successful. During a proposal meeting with a client, Xu Mu unexpectedly meets her high school classmate, Xie Shi. He has changed over the years and is now a cold and scheming client director. Due to a drunken misunderstanding, Xie Shi becomes Xu Mu’s publicly announced boyfriend on social media. Faced with congratulations from friends and family, Xu Mu is in a tough spot. The two decide to pretend to be a couple and start living together. As they spend more time together, the awkwardness fades, and feelings start to grow. However, what Xu Mu doesn’t know is that all of this is tied to a long-buried secret feelings Xie Shi has kept for years.
